This now scarce Elf Team Tyrrell sticker was first produced for the 1971 Grand Prix season which saw Jackie Stewart win his second drivers’ world championship, at the wheel of Tyrrell Ford chassis. His team mates that season were François Cevert and Peter Revson, who did just one GP in a third car. Over the following five seasons of Elf title sponsorship Tyrrell also ran young up-and-coming drivers Patrick Depailler, Jody Scheckter, Jean-Pierre Jabouille and Michel Leclere, although the vastly experienced Chris Amon had two outings in 1973. After 1998 the Tyrrell team changed hands and eventually became the Mercedes F1 Team. The sticker is unused, in good condition and measures 12.5 x 10 cm.
